Kanawinka Global Geopark

Kanawinka Global Geopark required a redesign of their previous website. The design was created to give a fresh, and light appeal.

Kanawinka is the ‘Land of Tomorrow’,  for a new era of sustainable tourism and geoheritage in Australia. Kanawinka Global Geopark is the 57th Member of the Global Network of National Geoparks.

Victorian Volcanic Plains CMN

Victorian Volcanic Plains CMN is a non-government Network organization with a two pronged approach; a physical network of conservation and a social network of landowners, agencies and support/ research organisations across that same landscape and sometimes further afield.

Booligal Country Retreat

Recently finished is the ‘Booligal Country Retreat’ website. Booligal Country Retreat is a relaxing getaway set near the coastal town of Narrawong only 15 minutes from Portland. The Canadian Cedar home has 3 bedrooms, ideal for that romantic weekend for 2, maybe a longer stay with family or friends, perhaps a horse riding weekend or just a craft “getaway” weekend. a Byaduk Second-Hand Store is a dynamic e-commerce website powered by Wordpress theme and developed by Mac Web Service. The Theme revolves around a postcard. Byaduk is located in South West Victoria only 59 kilometres North of Port Fairy and just 25 kilometres South of Hamilton along the C184.

Macarthur Pub (Macarthur Hotel) Website

Macarthur Pub has a new website. The focus of the design related to the two businesses – the Macarthur Pub (Macarthur Hotel) and the Blue Room Cafe. Distinct features of the businesses are the Blue Stone building, which originates from the 1860s, and the bright blue weatherboards of the Blue Room Cafe. Macarthur Pub is located in Macarthur, Victoria. Open 7 days – 26 High Street Macarthur, 3286. The Blue Room Cafe opens Thursday to Sunday lunch. So when passing through Macarthur why not stop for drink and a meal at the Macarthur Pub and Blue Room Cafe.

Farmers Inn Bed and Breakfast

The Farmers Inn Bed and Breakfast website took into account the the restoration of this historic building in Macarthur and the details of the new business. The Farmers Inn Bed and Breakfast is located 47km North of Port Fairy and 36km of Hamilton. Macarthur is at the gateway of Mt Eccles National Park and in the centre of Kanawinka Geopark. Macarthur is also centrally located within an hours drive of many of South West Victoria’s great locations such as Warnnambool, Portland, Dunkeld, and as mentioned previously Port Fairy and Hamilton.

CSS Zen Garden

As part of learning the art of design for the web it is wise to acquaint oneself with the beauty of CSS (Cascading Style Sheets). The CSS Zen Garden is where talented designers showcase their designs and prove that CSS is far more powerful at delivering beautiful designs while at the same time keeping the (X)HTML code more light-weight. The extra trick to this assignment was to create a design in under 100kB (yep that’s right – 100kB for all the graphics). It was a challenge but was achievable just Inspiration came from Pict stone carvings from Scotland. So it is a Pictish inspired stone in an ‘CSS Zen Garden’.

Macarthur Primary School

Macarthur Primary School – the focus was to showcase what great qualities this small school has to offer to students. It may be small in terms of the number of students but the school space is large. Fun, colour and the sense of community were the key words.

Macarthur Victoria website

Macarthur Victoria website is one of the first designs. It provides a place for people find out what is going on in their town. It is in need of a makeover and it is in the redesign stage at present. The new site will be W3C compliant throughout and make it more friendly to update.
